The Service

Flexible Towing When You Need It

Not every job requires a full lorry loader. Sometimes you need something to tow a trailer, shift a small piece of plant, or collect and deliver equipment to a site quickly. That's where our 4x4 service comes in.

We operate a Ford Ranger double-cab pickup - a capable, well-equipped tow vehicle that's available on request alongside our main fleet. It's a practical option for jobs where access is tight, the load is lighter, or you simply need something smaller and more responsive than an HGV.

This is an on-request service, so just give us a call and we'll confirm availability and whether it's the right option for your job. In many cases it can be deployed quickly and at a lower cost than bringing out a full lorry.

What It's Used For

When 4x4 Towing Makes Sense

There are plenty of jobs where a full HGV is overkill and a van isn't enough. The Ranger sits neatly in that gap.

Trailer Towing

Moving plant trailers, flatbed trailers, equipment trailers, and box trailers when you don't need an HGV to do it.

Light Plant Movements

Small plant items loaded on a trailer - mini diggers, compact rollers, small generators - collected and delivered across Yorkshire.

Equipment Collection & Delivery

Time-sensitive collection or delivery of tools, parts, and equipment to site when the HGV fleet is committed elsewhere.

Tight Access Sites

Locations where an HGV can't get in but a pickup and trailer combination has the reach to deliver what's needed.

Support Work

Running in parallel with the main fleet on larger jobs - tools, chains, slings, and support materials where needed.

Quick-Response Jobs

When the job is urgent and a lorry loader isn't required - the 4x4 can often be on site faster and at lower cost.
